Basically this is a friendly meet and greet from us to legislators on their way to the first day of session. We might be guided by: "happy new year, welcome back!" and continue with "we need  you to pass that health act this session, or condemn our neighbors and friends to unnecessary suffering and deaths the Trump cuts will bring." " We need you to use every tool at your disposal to win the New York Health Act" .

This meeting will be a brief overview of the syllabus and the reading group. No readings are neccessary prior to this meeting and we will use it to assign readings for the first week and create a discussion chat for the group.
